But the mind will be bright forever with time ?”.

What is Tâm?

The ancient philosopher’s concept: “Covering all thoughts is the Mind (Tâm)”. Confucius said that “Heaven and Earth use the mind as the center”. According to the ancient Chinese astronomy of the 28 major stars (二十八宿), the Mind is the planet Mars. Linh Khu (5th century BC), the classic book of oriental medicine, mentions the Mind (Tâm) as the King of all things, and interprets “the Mind is the master of all kingdoms, the five organs are the dwelling place of the god. ”

The description of spiritual and emotional state of the ancient people has the sentence: ” If the Mind is not calm and unstable, hearing has no meaning, you see things but seeing has no meaning, you eat and swallow but do not know what flavor. Must have “peace of mind” to unite everything else.

The story of Kieu, grand master of literature Nguyen Du has the sentence

“goodness is at heart

One word Tâm equals three word Talents (Tài)”.

The Buddha taught: “Essentially, the mind creates” (everything is created by the mind). Meditation to create peace of mind; comes down to the “four immeasurables” :

  • Từ: Matri — Benevolence —To give joy to others.
  • Bi: Karuna —Mercy—To remove the suffering of others.
  • Hỷ: Mudita —Cheerfulness —To keep oneself happy.
  • Xả: Upeksa —Indifference —

Buddha was born of the Bodhi root. He said: “I am the Buddha now, everyone will become the Buddha”.
